Too late shitheads. You made me take my Linux entry drug and now I’m not going back.

Same. I still have Win10 on a separate SSD in case I need it for anything, but I’m not buying another OS, and I think KDE Plasma looks nicer than windows anyway.

I kept my Win10 SSD for a year and then realized I hadn’t booted it a single time since. I repurposed it for my Steam games now.

They’re gonna start backpeddling even more, especially since they promised Win10 would be their last OS

Nobody wants Win11, and many are ditching windows entirely now.

Windows made the mistake of pushing consumers to consider other options.

this is definitely a placebo to try to delay the EU from stepping in regarding it. I still think only a year expansion isnt enough but, it’s something I guess.

I wonder (fantasize, really) if this is in response to more and more people moving towards Linux and alternatives to MS Office? If it’s about the threat of being sued over the DMA, a one year extension seems arbitrary and probably not enough to address whatever the legal issues would be.

I don’t think they care about those small movements.

This seems like a response to 1. the state of reality (half(?) of installs are still on 10) and 2. EU criticism and looming regulation/imposed requirements.

I ignored their last last year.

I will ignore their new last year, too.

They just showed me their threats are empty. Microsoft is weak. Their will fragile, their determination an act put up by lesser men.

    I am resolute. Get fucked.
