Start it at night when his bedroom light goes off for him to sleep. Let it go for approximately 30 seconds after his light turns on so he gets up to check then cut it off. Repeat until you’re tired enough that’s it’s no longer worth the joy. You can also raise the volume slowly when he decides he’s going to sleep through it and deal with it tomorrow

I do want to try tumbleweed again but bazzite just keeps working…
I usually get downvoted for this since it’s not open source, but WPS Office is free and basically an exact ms office clone. I use it regularly moving files between my work laptop with windows
I will now refer to base Ubuntu as Gubuntu

7·7 months agoI think you mean archinstall, and while it is amazing, it’s nothing compared to those “pre-configured” arch distros. It’ll get you up and running but there’s still a lot of work to be done to just use it normally

Really came here with variants of the same idea but you nailed it lol
Instead of Android Auto or Apple Car Play, give me Linux Mobile and let me drive to my glorious fireball wreck of death. Still worth it


Because switching from Windows can be intimidating and Mint is the literal opposite of intimidating. It’s boring, simple, and clean, thus the perfect stepping stone. At least, it was for me and quite a few others I know. I still install Mint first on new hardware
