Might need to circle back on that one.

Might need to circle back on that one.
Welcome! I’ve been on Nobara KDE for two years, exclusively for one, and I too recently purged all trace of Windows from my nvme drive and repurposed it for games.
Feels real good.
There’s nothing wrong with being content where you’re at. Your mental health is more important than a better wage, IMO.
Maaaaaybe when Windows wasn’t actually disrespectful to its user base but now that they’ve gone full “we know what’s best for you” and are actively ruining their OS and fucking with their users to push garbage tier AI shit no one wants… Yeah, miss me with this shit man.
Linux respects the autonomy of its users and for that reason alone it has gained me as a user.
I do think Linus should be held to a higher standard than the average joe, but yeah. IMO he should have done his due diligence to do things right. It was just very low effort for a guy whose professional life revolves around tech.
Some people go way too far with lambasting him though.
What’s notable though is Linus’ experience is likely to be very typical of an average non-technical Windows user’s experience when it comes to dealing with problems.
To seemingly lose the ability to read when an error occurs and then just try and slam it through regardless instead of pumping the brakes and asking for help is all too common.
That’s fair. I guess its a lesser of two evils situation. No unlimited internet? Need to buy storage. No storage (OP’s situation) let Steam handle it.
Don’t back up your games. Steam Cloud saves are a thing and if your games drive shits the bed you can just buy a new one and re-download all your games.
A truly brutal experience I’ll never revisit.
Linux is in no shape for a non tech literate person just to jump into.
The tech illiterate are not typically the ones complaining about Microsoft; they mostly have zero clue about what’s going on. Stop choosing perfection as the threshold for usability.

Thorium had the furry porn. I use it for work as I need a Chromium browser for compatibility. Librewolf for everything else.
I’ve been on Linux for a year and a half now with zero downtime.
Sounds like something a dude named Deviled Egg Dan would do.
