Must be nice having enough money to afford a factory-made case.

6·27 days agoDid you uninstall the official driver first? That is, the

Linux@programming.dev•NVIDIA Drops Pascal Support On Linux, Causing Chaos On Arch Linux
5·1 month agoYou might be able to use the Nouveau driver with the 750M. Performance won’t be great, but might be sufficient if it’s just for server admin.

Linux@programming.dev•NVIDIA Drops Pascal Support On Linux, Causing Chaos On Arch Linux
14·1 month agoTo be fair, Nvidia supports their newer GPUs well enough, so you may not have any problems for a while. But once they decide to end support for a product line, it’s basically a death sentence for that hardware. That’s what happened to me recently with the 470 driver. Older GPU worked fine until a kernel update broke the driver. There’s nobody fixing it anymore, and they won’t open-source even obsolete drivers.

Linux@programming.dev•NVIDIA Drops Pascal Support On Linux, Causing Chaos On Arch Linux
1781·1 month agoI’ve had so many problems with Nvidia GPUs on Linux over the years that I now refuse to buy anything Nvidia. AMD cards work flawlessly and get very long-term support.
The Analytical Engine was perfection. Anything newer is just bloat.
Not much, time. What’s up with you?
I update when I log on, then again before I log off. I use Arch, btw.
Ahhhooooer

I have a Dell Optiplex i5 running JellyFin at home too. I think you’re good to go.
