I dislike GTK because it looks clunky and dated to me. I need glassy blur effects on all windows.

I loved the Windows Phone UI but I absolutely hated the tiled menu on desktop. It was actually the main reason I left windows behind.

I agree that this specific menu tree is utter insanity, but you can skip the first two menus by just right-clicking into the folder.

Have you tried MusicBrainz Picard? I think it should be able to do most of the things you need.
