The little things you expect to work that don’t it’s the biggest adoption barrier.
Downloaded, created USB media, booted.
No mouse. Cursor stuck to the upper left corner. Keyboard erratic or not responding.
I really want to unwindow, but at this rate…
Absolutely. I am done with Windows. The software is from Serif, the British company behind the Affinity platform, and they have a big announcement at the end of the month. Fingers crossed it is multiplatform support.
Downloaded and installed today. Dual boot still 🥺 because of 3 apps I use every day only available IN Windows.
Zorin 18 looks pretty good but it needs some tweaks here and there.

A reposotory is a suppository you can share with others when asked with an e-note.
It is a software created by Serif, a UK company and it was called Affinity with three applications: Designer, Photo and Publisher. The three apps where very cohesive and their pricing model was one time payment for each major version.
I paid $50 for Affinity 2. Never went back to Adobe.
Then Canva bought them up and unified the three apps with some of their shitty design features and AI garbage, but made the new mash up free. Only a Canva account is needed, so far.
As a Windows and Mac native, running the software in Linux almost native is always a step in the right direction.
