  • I can see how this may be useful. My understanding is that this is go lang and the person created a wrapper type UUID and this function takes the go standard library uuid.UUID and returns the wrapped UUID.

The wrapped UUID could be useful as you can then define methods for it like toInt() or something to make it implement some ID interface you have set up. It’s a common pattern in go to create a thin wrapper around an imported type so you can implement all the methods required for some interface you defined. It does make naming those thin wrappers hard because what are you supposed to name the struct that just contains a uuid?

Was anybody actually paying $500 though? It’s impossible to know but I think a majority of the sales were back to the seller to pump up the price, launder money, dodge taxes etc. There probably weren’t that many people actually paying 20k for these links.

A lot of very dark money got moved around though, which is really the only use case for crypto in general.

  • That’ll cause competition with the private owned stores and force them to push down prices / raise wages until their profit margins are gone, putting them out of business.

The only entity that will buy the defunct stores will be the state , or maybe some actual non-profits , and now the state owns all the grocery stores and communism will be achieved. Then we get bread lines, is that what you want? /s.
