Dog shoes my friend. They make fleece, rain boots, waterproof winter, lots of choices. I found a local grandma that makes them but they’re also sold at pet stores.

11·3 months ago“Enough” is a statistically significant delta between the rates of men assaulting women and women assaulting men. Once that is identified, remedial action is justified.

8·4 months agoGood news bad news, I loved that movie as a kid and have zero recollection of that scene. I’m guessing I didn’t get the implication. “Oh he lost his horse”.
Sorry, I mean this meme fails to consider edge cases. You’re just taking it as written.
This fails to consider edge cases such as many here have brought up. The implication is that folks who choose to sleep in are less productive than folks who don’t, not that folks who must sleep later for logistical reasons such as shift work are less productive.
So yeah this is poorly written.
Win ME worked fine. I’m pretty sure I applied the XP theme and never noticed a difference.
This meme needs more artifacts

Was that meaning there or did you apply it post facto?
With confirmation bias it is easy to apply meanings to things that aren’t necessarily there.

4·7 months agoI’m not sold on that. I am probably engineer over-generalizing rn, but I can totally see hairs growing as a result of directional growth rate differences and localized fluidity changes caused by the presence of defects in polycrystalline zinc exposed to an electron current.
There could also be a resonance phenomenon caused by waves in the current moving around imperfections the metal.
Maybe the metal atoms undergoing electron drift are guided by electric fields through the air to areas of differing voltage, a self-fulfilling short circuit.
I’m going to guess the challenge lies in isolating and observing these effects to figure out precisely what is going on.

I did read the article. I am commenting that I have never encountered strong juxtaposition and sharing why I think it is a poor choice.
I disagree. Without explicit direction on OOO we have to follow the operators in order.
The parentheses go first. 1+2=3
Then we have 6 ÷2 ×3
Without parentheses around (2×3) we can’t do that first. So OOO would be left to right. 9.
In other words, as an engineer with half a PhD, I don’t buy strong juxtaposition. That sounds more like laziness than math.
Sublemmy?

You’re almost there. Turn the first one on for a while. Then then it off and turn the second one on and run to the room. There are theee possible scenarios. If the bulb is on, switch 2 controls it. If the bulb is hot but off switch 1 controls it. If the bulb is cold and off, switch 3 controls it.
