It’s not about entertainment, its about politics and controlling media.
In Russia, you abuse substances.
Bazzite was the breakthrough for me. All my stuff just worked. Only 2 things I had to fix was
1.adding 5.1 audio over Spdif, which was a single ostree command to make it permanent.
Took about an hour to research and fix both.
I had tried to covert 4 times in the 5 years before. Ubuntu, linux mint and endevourOS would not play well with my hardware in years past.
He is a time poor impatient person. That is something linux will need to address for wider adoption.
I would argue that their example resulted in some very wide ranging changes in approach that was long overdue.
Linux was at risk of becoming an “OS for us” instead of a true replacement for everyone.
I suspect if they repeat the challange today, it would be a night and day difference.

I agree with you, its no longer math at thst point, but the application in the service of other fields.
What I am advocating for is that math at most of secondary school level should be taught on the practical basis. Math theory should be treated as a field of specialization. Much like how language is taught after people get over the basic literacy portion.

Math is mostly taught as theory. It should be taught in practice.
Teaching people how to calculate an inventory, or taxes in a spreadsheet, is much more useful than teaching them differentials and number theory.
Its like teaching people carpentry but never having them make anything with it. You just quiz them on which tool and material they need to use.

How are Electricians needing to do so much math? Its basic calculator and lookup table stuff? I mean a janitor does more complication calculations when they dilute cleaning products and estimate how much they will need for a given room.
Ironic, since Japan is one of the last holdouts requiring the use of floppy drive for use in government processes.

My parents taught me it’s fine to take chances and make mistakes, but when you do, own them out in the open.

Short answer: Yes
Will you notice it: No
Edit: after watching, did not expect that strategy to be that effective.

Ubuntu LTS based distro. Heavily customized Gnome to make it more familiar for those coming from windows. They have a paid support tier for some business and enterprise features.
Think you commented in the wrong thread.
Both have an Ubuntu base
Mint develops their own desktop called Cinnamon which is like a cross between Gnome2 and windows 7 UIs. Its looks a bit bland, but some people prefer that.
Zorin uses Gnome3, but is heavily customized to give people a choice between windows 7, windows 10 or MacOS type experiences. The UI does look a lot more modern than mint in the looks department. They also have a commercial support option.
Both have a pretty good suite of software for customization and management.
Personally I’m loving Bazzite, which is Fedora based with a lot of customizations for gaming and modern hardware. It’s also immutable, which makes it difficult to break.

So Google Chrome causes autism?
The server software world is debian based. Fortunately/unfortunately.
Horses for courses, desktop and server OS’s should have different priorities and approaches.
It’s one of the reasons I run Bazzite instead of CachyOS.
Hope I don’t have to roll back. Hope the roll back works How the hell do I roll back again? 😋
Its because of how it disrespects the user. it keeps nagging you to update, then forces it at an inconvenient time and because the updates take so long in comparison.
He just needs to stay on the 580 driver. Bazzite is handling that transparently and wont update you to the 590 driver if you have an unsupported GPU.
Then next time round, buy an AMD or Intel GPU. They tend tp treat their customers better.
