Memes@lemmy.ml•Why this doesn't make anime more popular, I'll never know.
9·5 months agoI used to watch a lot of animes as a teenager but I rarely do now. Most likely my interests just shifted but I feel like I can’t get into them any more. Seemingly everwhere I look is stereotypical comedy and fan service. Was that always the case and I just didn’t notice?

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•Why shouldn't you use YAML to store eye tracking data? /s
4·7 months agoI didn’t look to much at the data but I think csv might actually be an appropriate format for this?
Nice simple plaintext and very easy to parse into a datastructure for analysing/using it in python or similar

0·9 months agoThe lack of a good server-side managament software for ebooks keeps astonishing me. I check back ever so often but the recommendations are always the same. It’s either calibre-web, calibre with library on a network share or Kavita.
I’ve seen that audiobookshelf and jellyfin can apparently also handle books but I don’t know how well the support is implemented.
Because I have a very peculiar way of organizing my book collection I need a utility which can export to a specific folder structure and file naming scheme and ideally allows exporting the entire library at once.
I know that some people have managed to get it working but I have yet to see it in practice. Granted, my experience in the industries is currently only what I learned during my studies and 2 internships.
In general, C is supported. C++ is sometimes supported and very few people even talk about Rust.
