On the other hand, you know the Fortran works and you can break it.
The vibe code is already broken.
I’m still pounding the Fortran button as hard as I can.
The scumbag behavior is from the employer. He’s only fighting fire with fire.
Actual solutions are to hold the people who raped a 13 year old accountable.
I don’t really give a shit which less specific term you want to use. 13.

The app didn’t seem to respect the environment variable for X11 I tried to set for that one app.
I have an odd monitor configuration, one 2k high refresh rate, HDR monitor in the center, 1080p monitors to the left, right, and above. The right is also a higher refresh rate.
I could get it to work in Ubuntu… inconsistently. Sometimes I’d log in and have one 640x480 monitor in the center. PopOS just worked.
Yeah, my monitors didn’t work under Ubuntu X11. At least on PopOS, that just worked.
I want Omnissa (VMWare) Horizon Client to support Wayland. Until then, while I have to boot into Windows for one thing, I might as well boot into Windows for everything.
Maybe next year will be the year of the Linux Desktop.
I need my Omnissa Remote Client (VMWare) to work on Wayland with multiple monitors and I’d be good to go.
As it is, I have to use Windows for work.
Ubuntu didn’t work, but PopOS with Nvidia drivers built in works great.

Oh my console.log messages are so much better than that now… (that I started telling copilot to add them for me).
Apparently you haven’t been to Reddit in awhile.
Like a few other things, it could have been good if done intelligently.
100k is the right line for tech. But we always need medical.
They’re just going to exempt big tech anyway. And people who are here completely legitimately shouldn’t have to worry, but they do.

7·5 months agoSometimes you have different use cases. One beefy machine is likely more energy efficient. Many small machines allows reuse of old hardware.
Yeah, you use whichever you want and just worry about it less.

20·5 months agoThis is not what Embrace, Extend, Extinguish is. Embrace, maybe, sure. The Extend part is functionality that is critical or that people want to use. This isn’t that. (And then Extinguish is to use the Extension to eliminate the open source competition.)
Put an extra dollar in there and they’d make a mint.

Now that’s real GDP.
