The updates are unwelcome because currently the updates remove desirable functionality while adding unwanted functionality. If they removed the ads and AI, they might actually stop the bleeding.

I like rust too, but this feels more like advertising than useful commentary on the language and its tools.
It’s like autism, there’s a spectrum. Perl can be very c like. It also can be indistinguishable from actual line noise. Or it can be like roku and not really look like Perl at all. Lol

Sadly, MacOS is leading the pack with sleep working as expected. This is the most cursed timeline.
To your edit, it isn’t the same thing as cmd. It’s more like konsole or kitty or gnome-terminal. It is a terminal container that can run cmd or powershell or bash for you.
It has other features that are nice, and that more useful systems have had since the 90s. If you’re stuck on windows, it’s to putty what ie used to be for netscape. You can use it to download putty, or use it and only be mildly irritated on someone else’s system.

Agree 100%. My only hesitation with bazzite is fedora’s insistence that 32bit needs to go. Once that support ends, bazzite is on a death clock. Otherwise I’d say bazzite over cachy.
