Known interface and automation apis?

Yes and no. I like the config language of GUIX better, but it has far fewer packages, and you are even more on your own figuring out how anything works. Choose your poison I guess.
That video is not out yet, or am I missing something?

Currently latest post, no idea how to link to that directly
Oh man, I want that source!

You know, I think it could have merit to have politics more transparent. Being able to see which person / lobbyist proposed and got which exact changes in, that would be very enlightening.
Also getting the discussions that happen behind the scenes out in the open… I would like that. Never mind the flame wars.

While I like Hurd, I like sel4 much better, and am slightly saddened, that development doesn’t focus on that more

Whichever compresses your data the smallest, while still having acceptable runtime?
Now I am intrigued. Where on that line would you place nix?
Out of all the ways that I have tried in the past, to reproduce not just the initial state, but also the ongoing changes of a disto (ansible, saltstack, chef, bunch of Shell scripts) — nix is by far the shortest. With all of these technologies I would never have dreamed to do this for a single Maschine. But now it’s not only possible, but actually gasp enjoyable!
Mind you, if that is not the problem you want to solve, maybe install just the nix package manager in addition to your distribution, and learn to enjoy it without having to run your whole distribution this way.

Yeah, that works, but it means the services cannot be managed by systemctl as root anymore. Or am I missing something?

How do you do that? Please link a description. This has been a major stumbling block for me

While that is true, that is not how I would run services normally with SystemD. Those would be defined globally, but run as a user.
Definitiv then in the user home, means that I dint see them with systemctl which is very annoying.

Might it be, that you have also learned a bit here and there?

I like this, but even though pod man runs perfect rootless, quadlets can only run as root for now :-(
That resolves to 0.0.0.0 - rarely useful
Well, if you already have this stuff for VirtualBox? Not saying it’s good.
