Eh if the behaviour is changing then I think it’s normal and good that the associated unit tests should also change.

Obviously you can get annoying with unit tests, but if they’re tiny and fast, and trivial to update then I like them as a truth check that the behaviour is changing as I expect.

I mean that ss looks great. Tbh I don’t see the point in pushing graphical fidelity much farther than that unless you’re really going for a specific aesthetic (most games aren’t they just want “good graphics”)

Man, wish I’d thought of that. The last place I applied I went through two leetcode and two system design interviews, as well as the usual battery of recruiter, manager, and director meetings.

Oh that’s very interesting. I usually do sort --unique or sort [...] | uniq if I need specific sorting logic (like by size on disk, etc).

Couple reasons people dislike Ubuntu/Canonical. 1) they’re just popular, but also they went their own way with the Unity UI hoping to score a BMW touchscreen contract, they went their own way with snaps which are much worse than flatpak, they added ads for “Ubuntu Pro” in the distro (notably in the terminal).

I think they have a reputation for going off and doing their own thing rather than working with existing solutions.

Ubuntu catches some well earned flak, but afaik it was the first distro to have an effortless Gui setup wizard that “just worked.”

I remember using one of their ubiquitous install CD back in the mid 00s to bring an old laptop back to life, and literally changing my life.
