100%. It’s the goto starter distro for good reason. Ux is familiar, and it works ootb.

They’ve also got the LMDE, which is mint based on Debian rather than Ubuntu. Haven’t tried it personally, but I’ve heard good things from people who are determined not to touch anything Ubuntu adjacent for whatever reason, whilst still providing an ootb environment that is stable and ux friendly.

Ubuntu is Debian based anyway, so I’d imagine parts of Ubuntu have been pulled out to bridge the gap between Debian and mint, but given mint are anti snap; that’s something that definitely wouldn’t be copied over to LMDE (and like you pointed out, is disabled in standard mint anyway).

I can’t speak for the actions of people that died a century before I existed of course, but I can near enough guarantee that neither I, nor any of my fellow working class citizens have caused any famines in India. (I say near enough; because for all I know there could be some obscure despot running around who just so happens to be from a working class village in Scotland or some shit).

It is a human condition ultimately; we’re seeing the same situation out in the states, where a lot of immigrant families voted in favour of tighter immigration (the “fuck you I got mine” mentality). I suppose you could argue it’s due to Americanisation of the people who have migrated, but to me it just highlights the fact that morality isn’t based on nationality. I believe brandishing any nationality/ethnicity or race as anything other than human only perpetuates ‘us and them’ mentalities, and I believe it’s by design.

It’s dumb to search anything when they’re responding to a direct link to the GitHub page. They had no issues finding it; they were just pointing out the original comment in the picture is no longer there, with no marker meaning there’s no “comment deleted” marker on the thread.

I highly doubt they meant all traces of the comment have been wiped from the internet. That would be silly; given we’re looking at a screenshot of it on the internet.

They’re talking about the comment that asks whether the issue is resolved, rather than the follow up comment that you’ve googled.
