Graceful like closing a laptop and putting it in a backpack only to have windows refuse to shutdown and become a heater until it cooks the battery and ruins the screen…

The people in charge of launching the nukes didn’t want a code system getting in the way, getting lost, slowing things down. They were comfortable with the secured missile silo base, the armed guards, the several meters of reenforced concrete, the launch keys, the two key rules, and the quick reaction force if any of the above should be challenged
However a code was deemed a requirement by another bureaucracy. Fine… Fine… We will use a code, and all zeros was born
My personal flavor of dyslexia had me reading the comment and not realizing they used a special character until you mentioned it

A scam with published literature, documented benefits, and no documented downside. The only issues is from people who don’t like the idea of it and refuse to engage with the available data.
Carnivore is just a very strict form of a ketogenic diet, which is the most studied eating pattern in the literature
Funny you should mention that, they address scurvy directly in the paper. Who is getting rich of a nutrition paper?
The opinion is published in the Journal of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Obesity a peer-reviewed journal- and is edited by Eric Westman
Does that satisfy your appeal to authority concerns? Any issue with the content of the article itself?
This is absolutely incorrect, at least with respect to carnivore diets. You won’t feel like shit, and everybody dies eventually (but carnivore will not reduce your life or health span).

Note: This only applies to carnivores who are not eating carbohydrates, people who are just standard western omnivores (70% plant food, mostly processed, and 30% meat) will not see any benefits.
There are many biological risks in eating humans that should be accounted for, and while you could survive it would be far from optimal.

As a long time user of BSD laptops (apple) I’ve never had one surprise me when the screen was closed. FWIW I never buy these bsd laptops, they are given to me by $current.employer for work.
