I was trying to fix an old Dell Digital Jukebox and was saved by a random internet comment with a link to the firmware files the commenter had dug up. There’s this concept called net utility - that dude definitely increased the net utility in the world, even if infitesimally
I’m gonna wait a bit to update then, sounds like that might be wise

1·4 months agoYeah I don’t know either. I had a problem once or twice with it because I powered it off randomly when it locked up under load (did this a lot, this machine is 12 years old and needs maintenance). Btrfs check repair fixed it. Snapper rollback is awesome for updates. Under opensuse at least it seems extremely stable.

Not really. About 55 percent of the power today came from renewables.
Yeah sounds about right. But we have really cheap power, something like 7 or 8 cents per kwh (US). Not sure why, lots of wind I guess.
Wow that’s… Pricey. What is your kWh cost?
