Memes@lemmy.ml•Two Privacy Philosophies: Firefox vs LibreWolf on AI
21·30 days agoYou’re right, or at least mostly right. About 5% of Vivaldi’s code is closed. Yes, I understand that people don’t like that, but the point of Vivaldi is to be Opera if it had continued to follow the original vision of what Opera was. If they’re gonna stay on that course and be able to earn a living doing it, then I understand if they feel the need to keep some of it secret. I support open source, but among the vast amount of browsers I’ve tried, Vivaldi was the only one that truly sang to me after Firefox decided to go evil corpo. If people want to get their pitchforks and downvote me to oblivion for that, that’s fine.

217·1 month agoTry Vivaldi. I’m very happy with it so far.
Not much difference between the Zionists and the MAGA cult. Many of them probably don’t even know who Ms Rachel is. They’ll just jump at any opportunity to impress their fellow cult members.
I always felt a bit guilty when hearing the double entendre during such an innocent show. Glad to know I’m not the only one.

Memes@lemmy.ml•Fuck this expresso depresso life, but double fuck all these assholes.
2·3 months agoEvery day you draw breath is another victory against the assholes. A few people might spit in your tea, but the entire rest of the world is happy to have you in it. Keep going, and you’ll eventually find yourself far from the ledge, with plenty of things that bring you joy. Wishing you all the best. :)

Linux@programming.dev•"I installed Linux (so should you)" by PewDiePie
1·9 months agoNot personally a fan of Pewds, but this is a good thing. Dude’s still got 110M subscribers, he can reach an enormous viewer base. Not only that, but he’s got a magical ability to reach younger people in a way that grumpy old farts like me can’t (I’m five years older than him, which makes me a fossil). If Linux has had one problem through all its years on the good, green Earth, it’s marketing. Pewds might be just what it needs for this to finally be the Year of the Linux Desktop.

Country? The world. My handful of friends is scattered across the continents, and I see them maybe once a decade. Vampirism is a lonely existence, I hear.
