to be fair it does still make sense with lower-level distros like arch. usually it is as simple as installing pipewire + wireplumber or whatever, but that sometimes doesn’t work out of the box and there are also other ways to do audio
THIS. The people who actually read the error messages aren’t going to stop there, they’re going to look up said error message, find a solution on their own, and continue with their day without having to interact with another human.
Ok this describes me annoyingly well. Ubuntu, then Manjaro, then Arch, and now Gentoo. Now I don’t really want to go any further because I quite like this distro :p
