Yup, very similar! And quite customizable as well if you want to. But the focus is on having, by default, a friendly interactive shell.

I like that I can spin up a VM, install fish, chsh and I’m all set.

I can only imagine this was terrible for them, but we used to take earth magnets and rub them on the screens in the computer lab. You could really fuck up the image. Then hit the degausse button and watch everything zzzzrp back into place.

This is the way. I’ve never even attempted to script anything in fish, but it’s just a great interactive shell OOTB. I think at most I have a colorscheme and an alias or 2.

This is hilariously sad how LLMs aren’t able to be consistent from one prompt to another.

Typically that’s configurable. Like for a chatbot, you’d want it to give the same/similar results for a given question, where with a character creator, you might want the results to vary so you can re-run until you get something you like.

Of course that wouldn’t be as funny here.
