  • I demand the lack of allegiance to a corrupt state, is a kidnapped entity that does not represent anymore the colectivity, it must be topped, but how would that correction be enforced if not by other collectively organised entities, even if ephemeral?

I believe a state can dynamically represent the common will of the society given the correct tools and vigilance.

Spontaneous will can easily fall apart by a few organised with a lot of resources, more easily than a centralised entity arisen form the colectivity of the many. Call that state or whatever, but collective coherence is fragile without some centered governance of the collective resources, which must be continuously watched by those generating it, because those few predators will continuously try to control it.

I fear that generalising that any state-like organisation must disappear will only make the things easier for those few with a lot of resources. I hope our differences here are only semantic, but those slogans seem to easily confound one thing with another…

I would strongly advise to not confuse the “state” with the “resulting de facto inferences of the richest and most powerful few” in a “coordinated effort of a collective society to protect us from those few” with the later, because those few also want to destroy it for their own benefit… a “state” made up of all the society is the only coordinated thing protecting us from those few human predators

I still find a better ethos for everybody to redistribute all, you and the other billionares you want to be safe of (and that the rest of us would not while you would be). Try out experiments out of curiosity not only can even damage collaterally others, it may even be flawed by design and serve no real purpose, or at least not efficiently… regardless of your good faith, control all the details of a huge amount of resources by one person is impossible, and if delegate in usage, chances of bad actors and oportunists be attracted to will still create havoc at a big scale… and if you just block those resources and not use them fear of lack of control, then is a terrible waste to begin with… I still stick to redistribution

May be in the fictional universe of Batman he attempts to be morally good, but I believe that there is no morally good billionaire regardless of the circumstances, so it seems to me an attempt to justify them in some particular cases, yet I think that it cannot hold that such concentration of power and resources can be morally good in a whole society ethos, the good tyrant only rises by unplanned luck and resolves immediately in wise redistribution, it cannot sustain in time.

  • Thanks for the insight! Still I have problems to identify “inteligence” in brutte force approaches, otherwise looks like a linear regression algorithm would lie also under the category of AI, and the original idea of AI, which the Wikipedia acknowledges included “reasoning” capabilities, I feel has not been yet incorporated/disentangled in current predictive algorithms. Whether it rises from things like that, I think we are not there yet and all seems to me not different from a linear regression algorithm, which I do not feel “intelligent” enough to place under AI. But I think everything is too vage also and there is a lot of overselling (including Deep Blue’s “inteligence”).

  • I see it like this: alt+tab only toggles among the two latest things, on a 3x3 grid win+arrows, on a tidy usage of some fixed desktops (one for browser, one for mail, one for current subject…), you have inmediate swaps to multiple relevant programs, not just the latest which also mutates… also it adds some visual mental distribution which I find extremely efficient… never went back and I struggle/frustrate with looking for stuff in a fixed bar… (I had to use quite often both types, so I feel the difference)

  • I got a 3x3 grid and now I swim accross them so naturally, visually and intuitively that I cannot stand anything else, 1 for spotify/system properties, 2 for firefox, 3 for thunderbird, the rest thematic for ocassional folder and dedicated programs, any one (two for diagonals) shortcut away from any other (win_key+arrows, with ctrl and shift combinations for window movement/fitting)… I will never comply back to anything else
