For iTunes based music player there is also rhythmbox which is standalone (no subsonic server needed). It’s what i used until i ultimately switched to navidrome + supersonic. I’ll check out feishin since that didn’t come up in my initial search last year. Ive liked supersonic though. It has a decent, simple UI and you can play albums by clicking on them

Edit- to add i haven’t found arch’s limit, it feels like i am bound only by my own limit in my time, ability, and willingness to tinker with my setup. arch itself is widely supported, it has many official packages through pacman, and then additional through the “arch user repository” (AUR) so chances are most of the things you want or need have a package that can be installed with an AUR helper (like yay/paru which install from both pacman and AUR). In other distros you get more of a one-size fits all and you lose some of that ability to change things whereas arch you’re giving a minimal setup and left to build the system to your liking. It does take more time and expertise than other distros but it does give you more control. For me the trade off was an easy decision, but it’s not something i blanket recommend to everyone.

The company holds key project assets, e.g. the trademark and the app store accounts. git.omaps.dev/organicmaps/organicmaps/src/branch/m… states that “The primary purpose of the entity is to shield the project’s members from personal liability and to ensure the legal protection of the project’s assets.”

Until recently there was never a mention that the shareholders treat their shares as their personal investment. Even that explanation document was only added to project’s repository 4 months ago - before that the only brief mention of Organic Maps OÜ’s existence was in the footer of the https://organicmaps.app/ website, so the most of users and contributors had no idea about its role and ownership structure.

Roman @rtsisyk holds 1/3 (33%) of shares, Viktor @vng holds 2/3 (66%). Alexander @biodranik is not a registered shareholder, but allegedly Viktor holds his 1/3 (33%) nominally.

Python is case sensitive. I think they’re saying their coworkers are writing case insensitive code which is causing errors (perhaps writing myFunction and then calling it via myfunction which would result in an undefined error)

I see that code.forgejo.org currently has version 11.0 deployed which afaik is not released yet, so is that instance just for testing purposes?

Correct, you just don’t see the disclaimer if you go straight to code.forgejo.org. if you are on the main forgejo page and click “try it now” you’ll see the disclaimer:

“FOR TESTING ONLY, ALL DATA CAN BE WIPED OUT AT ANY TIME”

So to break it down:

• codeberg e.V. - nonprofit democratic organization that owns codeberg.org and forgejo (or at least funds forgejo)
• Codeberg.org a public forge that runs forgejo
• forgejo.org - the forge software that can be self hosted
• code.forgejo.org - test public forge, data can be deleted without notice
