I don’t think there is much you can do to fix freecad. That said, it’s my go to cad software and the improvements while small are nice to have.
I run 16 Bit Virtual Studios. You can find more reviews from me on YouTube youtube.com/@16bitvirtual or other social media @16bitvirtual, and we sell our 3D Printed stuff on 16bitstore.com

I am just hopeful other open sources devs takes inspiration from the work done here.

I’ve used a fair share of video editors over the years. Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve and KDENlive.
Even in Linux Resolve is the better editor and works with my workflow. However the hardware requirements is large, and the use of ffmpeg to convert mp4 aac to a useable format is annoying on Linux, but nothing a batch script can’t help with.
KDENlive feel like an in between step of Windows Movie maker, and. Vegas. It has the functionality of a more advanced video editors, but its UI makes it feel as restrictive as Movie Maker.
There is a strong app here, it just needs polish like Audacity is getting. Hoping it gets better, since actual competition in Linux is a win for everyone.

Might report as Ubuntu

I just updated. It’s not a substantial update and good news is that nothing broke (: . But the updated start menu in Cinnamon 6.6 is a welcomed addition. I honestly miss Windows XP/7’s start menu and this is close enough that I don’t feel like changing it.
EDIT: I take that back, printers don’t work. Neither my HP nor my Brother Network Printer are being detected.

Got a framework 13 the steam deck kicks its butt in everything. No competition especially for the price

Considering I got my deck last week, not surprising

This is a lot. Buggier than I’d thought it’d be.
Tried to change the background color and it crashes the settings app. Search works for exact spelling only and not context or meta data. Search for image and music and you’ll get nothing.
However there is a lot of potential and it’s what I’d install on a MacBook as an alternative. Maybe next release would be good.

I like gnomes features but not gnome itself. Cinnamon is good, but has its faults. Plasma is better but is missing online features (calendar for example can’t be used to create events or sync with your cloud accounts). Really would like to see how Comic a desktop turns out when it’s ready.
I agree, for a new user everything including installing nvidia drivers is in a GUI. And if you run into issue due to the size of both Mint and its base Ubuntu, searching for the problems usually results in a solution.

While I agree with a native port. I think work around like this is also good too since it shows demand. I mean it’s why there is a good level of hype around Linux Gaming thanks to Steam and its Proton compatibility layer.
So long as Affinity isn’t blocked from running like what adobe does. I think this is fine until a universal binary is possible.

Got caught in that trap at my first coding job. Made a sort formula and a sr dev asked my I didn’t just use the array.sort.
My answer: I didn’t know it was there.
There are a lot of good reasons from other users in this thread which explains why not to trust the company. My reason is that Manjaro as an OS is broken.
I’ve ran it on 2 laptops and both had system breaking bugs which corrupted the install after a few months. I tried installing just from their repo I’ve tried being careful when I update but every time the system would one day update and never turn back on.
Arch especially AUR supported arch is amazing. But Manjaro isn’t the way to use it.

I mean I downloaded it to see what Zorin 18 looked like. Didn’t get far when my keyboard stopped working in the VM

I thought all my files were already uploaded to Onedrive?

Tried Linux to play games on after steam deck started getting good. Though my it was fine.
Then I got a new laptop. Tried to install windows 11. Required internet to setup. I installed Linux and haven’t looked back.

I just want to say that the V in this specific MVP wasn’t Viable

I going to point out the V wasn’t for Viable
It’s more of a personal one.
I made my first touch game in Unity. I tested all the system and everything worked after weeks of testing and I wasn’t able to find more bugs.
I gave my phone to my wife and asked her to try it. Immediately she was able to get the character to warp across the screen. I didn’t code this and based on my code this was impossible to happen.
After more testing I discovered that it wasn’t my code which was bugged but Unity’s. Since she was touching the screen in a way that it didn’t register that her finger was removed from the screen.
Ever since all my games touch inputs have manual timers to ensure that a touch is actually registered. And I give her my games to test since she usually breaks it in weird and wonderful ways.
