True, free to die of preventable illness, starvation or exposure after being kicked out of the alley they were sleeping in for the 5th time in a month. No one is free under this economic system.
People are closer to being on the same page than they realize I believe, but true, everyone is afraid of making the first move. I’ve heard this idea said a number of times, “I would fight a revolution but I don’t want to lead it.” People are still clinging to establishment politics and parties, what we need is a group to unite people in opposition to the status quo economic and political system and be unafraid to take direct action against the apparatus of the state. A lot of people would be afraid to take these steps, but it doesn’t require everyone, enough dedicated revolutionaries can help lead the non-political masses.
No person does until the conditions force them. Many people in the US are still comfortable enough and have a lot to lose, but the time might come. At a certain point it becomes the easier choice.

They support and punish specific politicians and groups but AIPAC isn’t the driver, Zionism is an essential part of the US policy in the MENA region. Israel is essentially a colony of the US and it’s allies. They would be happy to do it less openly like they had been for decades, keeping Palestine subjected but not aggravating onlookers too much, but the right wing in Israel are blood-thirsty genociders.
