My first thought without looking anything up was that it was resin and hardener already mixed - cured epoxy.

I think i understand you’re making hyperbole but i can say 5ft of snow in two weeks was pretty easy to manage and i was never stuck. Just had to clear the walkway/driveway on the daily for a bit. That and i was being a cheap-ass and doing it myself with a hand-held electric blower instead of paying for a plow like the rest of the neighborhood.
It was definitely a lot of work back before when i just had a shovel. 125m(400ft) is a lot of ground to cover.
I stopped drinking fluids three hours before sleep and that’s helped. Just have to hydrate well early in the day.
Doesn’t work if i drink any alcoholic or sugary beverages.
Winter can be if the weather stays warm and wet. For me if there’s snow on the ground it’s fine. With a full moon it almost feels like daytime.
The summers are incredible though! You do need to invest in blackout shades.
I’ve hard that dietary melatonin is generally best to avoid unless suggested by your physician.
Is it so hard to hold in your mind the concept that multiple countries may be evil?
Or are you just saying one is worse than the other? If so, why even? They both need dismantling.

Linux@programming.dev•What Have I Learned From Daily Driving Arch Linux For Three Years?
2·2 months agoI can go weeks, dozens of sleep cycles and never see a hint of instability with my Arch daily driver. It only needs a reboot after update and didn’t even ask for it.
My windows computer (work, 2025 lenovo, fresh install) can’t make it an hour without explorer crashing. They also fucked up task manager… The latest new bug is right and left click getting swapped requiring a reboot. I never imagined that was even possible.
I prefer complaining and screaming loudly while ‘barely surviving’.
I guess you’re right in the sense that neither could play audio off drivers packaged with install media in that era.

linuxmemes@lemmy.world•I can't believe they made a whole movie about this in 2004.
4·2 months agoIt was probably the most inexplicable addition to the Matrix franchise. Like, we get it, you’re stuckin a terminal, a place of transition, yada yada… Just break the egg and get on with it.
Me pressing the reset button…

To be fair the train equivalent of windows would crash either way.
Something like
int *a = new int(10) Int*b = null While *b !=10 { b = rand(); a=new int(10)} Return *bI haven’t coded recently enough in c/c++ to remember syntax but the concept might work eventually if you’re lucky and have enough memory… Might need a time variant seed on the rand()…
Thanks for giving a straight forward response without quoting a footnote from some random asshole’s third lost manuscript.

Memes@lemmy.ml•What do you want to be when you grow up? USA vs UK vs China
2·3 months agoStatics is good fun. That was one of those courses i spent 40-50hrs a week on.
That knowledge is great for other applications too. For example, it helps with visualizing of how tension laid in fallen trees on saw crews for trail maintenance.
I still use statics at work but i could in theory get by with just basic FEA guess and check.

5·3 months agoUnfortunate, i know lots of engineers who never learned math.
I’m more bothered by the hour and minute hands having the same length.
Edit: make the minute hand shorter to make it worse
It works you just have to launch outlook 3 times for it to take.

I suppose it’s a lot easier to have fun when you’ve got some stability.
