“privacy first” - yeah right. it’s commonly known that Apple harvests a shitton of data on both iOS and macOS, not much different from Google or Microsoft. If you want a modicum of privacy, GrapheneOS on Pixel phones is an option. you can get last year’s model for below €500 (new and unused)

this! i prefer flatpak but for some apps the sandboxing fucks up things, having snaps or native packages available if you want to have them isn’t the worst thing

KDE Neon has been working fine as my daily driver for the last two years, it’s Ubuntu-based but has the latest KDE packages on top. Though I’ve heard KDE wants to phase it out in favour of their own distro

Flatpak version seems to run stable enough for my taste, but i’m no expert when it comes to db management

they also offer KDE Neon, which is Ubuntu based and quite decent

it sounds like you better stick to windows. installing something like Ubuntu or KDE Neon is a no-brainer usually, i never had issues installing the os before (those come later admittedly)
