I’m worried that generation z and younger may be fooled by things like this because they don’t have the perspective of time & recent-ish historical events. Even generation X knows this can’t be real even though we were born after Kennedy was assassinated. But I know my perspective of time regarding the civil war and the Great pyramids etc, I have no freaking idea. So perfectly understandable if generation z and younger get confused about things like this. Scary though.

Nope 😂 The UI is modern Twitter (retweet/favorite era), and JFK died in ’63—so this is 100% a meme edit, not a real tweet.

It’s REAL! You can tell by the way it is because the internet was invented in 1889 and Twitter was invented in 1960. And they were still using the blue Twitter bird so it wasn’t a black X yet. It’s totally real. And JFK didn’t hang himself.

To their defence: Maybe they thought this was a real quote JFK actually said, and not a tweet from the 60s.

    Harry’s Razor:

Never attribute to stupidity that which is adequately explained by misunderstanding.

I wonder if Hanlon shaved with Harry’s Razors?

Hanlon’s razor is “Never attribute to malice any action that can be attributed to stupidity.” And it keeps me going some days

The quote is often said as “stupidity” or “incompetence”. Which could very well be the case here.

All tweets yellow with exposure to the air. You need to keep them in an archival storage solution if you want them to last.
