  • I get in and out of those roundabouts as fast as possible

I don’t mind the design, I think they’re great and save time and reduce traffic congestion

I just don’t trust drivers of this generation to use them properly. We are currently in a transition period of generations … an older generation of drivers that didn’t grow up with these and a newer group who will think these roundabouts will be normal. As long as these old timers (including me) are around, these traffic situations will be dangerous.

Which is why, when I get to these roundabouts, I get in as quickly as possible and get out as quickly as I can

lol … I was visiting a friend who was in the hospital over a period of about a month … all of us had to go stay with him to help the family.

At one point, I got to know the nurses on the floor and I started offering to buy people coffee just to be nice. I thought if I were nice to them, they would be extra nice to my friend getting treatment.

Everyone was pretty average with their orders but some of the nurses were pretty strange. One overweight nurse asked for large triple triple (triple cream, triple sugar) … but the best one was a short petite lady that weighed about 80lbs but tough as nails … she asked for extra large 7 cream, 8 sugar (nicest lady ever but I just could not believe the kind of coffee she drank, it was basically a milk shake with a shot of coffee)

As a Canadian, I will always find that absolutely unbelievable about American private health care … when someone or a family is at their lowest and during the most terrible times of their lives and health care people go up to them and say … ‘We’re sorry for your suffering and your loss … but here’s the medical bill you owe money on’
